    Description

    Offered here are a pair of hand carved, painted and embroidered sandals from the Philippines.
    They were picked up in 1945 in Manilla.
    They are wedge sandals carved out of a single piece of wood.
    The wedge has a native home and palm tree.
    The top part is embroidered fabric.
    They were never worn, but have storage wear.
    They are not marked for size, but are very small.
    Heel to toe on the bottom, they measure 8 1/2 inches.
    They lend themselves as a display piece rather than wearing them.
